I focused on the international and (mostly) wide body planes for this post. I agree that the A321T business class seats are nice for what they are. I’ve enjoyed them a few times on my rare transcon flights.

Presumably with the A321XLR joining the fleet starting in 2024, the A321T will be phased out, and the XLR will be used for premium transcontinental flights. I haven’t seen this confirmed, but that is my assumption. Mock ups of the XLR business class seats are in the press release I linked in the post and here.
