Which screen does not exist?

Regarding your query, travel from Dallas to Ivalo requires at least two partner carriers since American Airlines does not fly to Ivalo and Finnair does not fly to Dallas. You can only use the Asia Miles website to search for an award flight involving ONE partner airline. After entering both the departure and arrival airports, you’ll be asked which airline you want to use to fly between them.

The screen you show above doesn’t exist. I was trying to book a flight from Dallas to Ivalo, Finland. Finnair flies there but it does let me select it when I put DFW as the from airport. Conversely, I can select Ivalo as the from airport but can’t select DFW as the to airport. It is not allowing me to select these 2 cities together. I don’t have any curent asiamiles ( I was going to use my membership rewards) . When I call the 800 number, it does not recognize my number. (I just created it yesterday after reading this article). Any thoughts would be welcomed.

Thank you so much for this detailed info. I think I may go for the Cathay Pacific card for the 35K (it’s not much but if I can transfer points from the three partners you mentioned, it will come in handy when we travel the world next year! 🙂

There’s no particular reason to have a fuel surcharge since it doesn’t track increases or decreases in fuel prices. Maybe Cathay Pacific was just smart enough to increase its base fare instead.

Doesn’t explain lack of fuel surcharge for inbound flights (maybe CX decided to keep it simple and symmetrical?)
