Till date we have not got any single complaint against them from our guests.

The LH and SQ kits were almost the same, with the exception of the eye patch, paper towel and the sturdier carrying case on LH (which would only be important if I planned on using it for other things after the flight).

Both had socks and a dental kit and not much more. I’m sure LH also provides dental kits in the lavatories so that criticism should apply to them as well. And SQ provides hot towels pre-departure so I don’t think that’s much of a big deal? I’m sure one could request a hot towel on SQ at any time and staff would likely provide it. It would have been a clear difference if one of the airlines provided things not available in the lavatory – such as foam earplugs and a shavink kit. Maybe I’m missing something.

That sounds like a great idea. It’s nice to have a place to rest and relax before a longhaul flight.

Haha. So true! That was the most disappointing aspect about this experience. I’m such a huge amenity kit fan as it’s a good reminder of my flight experience.

I valued AA Premium Economy at worth roughly a $300-500 premium over regular coach. I’d say $500 or so seems pretty fair here as well. Of course, while it’s a minor deal in the grand scheme of things, the fact that AA’s amenity kit actually seemed better is pretty darn pathetic…

Yeah, I would say it’s pretty similar to a domestic first class seat. It was a good experience.

Plus that ice cream treat must have been pretty good. Did you feel like you were in old school business class?

In this case, I thought $1,200 was a good price to pay for PEY from LAX – HKT, roundtrip.

Thanks for the feedback Jason. And yes, it totally feels half-assed. When LH is offering a better whatever, you know you can improve. 🙂

Very helpful. It makes me want to try it the next time I have to pay for a flight.

I have flown SQ in economy, business, and first class. I have found the economy class to be very good and have no problem flying it when I have to pay. So it will be interesting to see what PE is like.

“It feels a little half-assed as Singapore Airlines is only providing an amenity kit because the other airlines are doing it” LOL… they don’t even give amenity kits to their business class passengers.

I.e willing to pay x over economy for this premium economy. X could be a ratio or a number.
