In reply to Brian. BA has three daily flights to Los Angeles, which are operated with a B787, B777 and an A380. Neither the B787s or A380s that fly to LAX have the new club suites yet and the B777s that fly to LAX are hit or miss with the new club suites. So yes, I stand by my statement as you are more likely than not to end up on BA's current seat on this route. In which case, I think AF's soft and hard product blow BA out of the water.

Our family has done SFO – CDG RT and then one way within the past few months. We’re less impressed. The business cabin is very bland and cold, absolutely no sense of a luxury product. In contrast, Swiss, for example, has a much warmer feel by having a bit of color. My wife and I had regular meals that had no particular appeal. Certainly nothing I would ever pay for on the ground. Our daughter’s special meals were all pretty yucky. The open snacks set up is pretty bleak. Again, much nicer on Swiss. Bottom line is that it felt like transportation – nothing more. Absolutely no sense of a special experience – simply an expensive way to avoid the horrors of coach.
