Thank you for these comments. We depart on Saturday for Paris and have had a pending application since October 20th. After reading your comments, I made a change to my application and was approved in 5 minutes. Hoping the same will apply to our other pending application. Thank you!

We are leaving for France on Saturday and are part of the fortunate few who followed Anmol’s advice and got the health passes (after failing to get them when we previously tried). However, businesses in France are not eager to turn down paying customers, and by all accounts, your US proof of vaccination (your CDC card) should suffice.. or so I was told. If you are able to get into France as an unvaccinated person, it might be very hard to see sights (museums etc) or eat in restaurants there but I can’t say for sure. I think the French government had the best of intentions but lacks the manpower to effectively execute against the demand, and really… wth is wrong with OUR CDC card anyway?

When keeping files under 3 MB, does that mean a *total of all the attachments* has to be under 3MB or each file needs to be under 3MB? Since there are a number of attachments, it’s hard to keep all 3 (passport, Covid card & flight receipt) under 3 MB. Thank you!

I’m in Canada, I called the Covid Lines in the consulates office both in Toronto and Quebec to inquire. The online portal will no longer be used to convert information. They advised me that proof of vaccination or a negative test will suffice and if I wish to obtain the pass I can do so at a pharmacy when I arrive.

Pretty wild since my spouse applied the same time last week and got his in a few hours.

Hope this helps some of you as I know how stressful it can be.

My husband and I emailed the demarches-simplifiees.fr website and received the following message this morning:

“The reason why you can’t finish filling your form is because
the government decided to change the procedure over the
weekend. The online application is no longer available.
To get your health pass converted, you will have to go to a
pharmacy in France and do it directly over there.”

Am I the only person who doesn’t have an option to create a new application in my existing account? The only available actions showing up for me are Edit the File, Transfer the File, and Delete the File. If I want to try this strategy (after 2.5 weeks of no movement on my application), is my only hope creating a new account with a different email address? Thanks so much!

Hi Bob.

Plan B: when you arrive in France, you go to a pharmacy with your CDC vaccine card + ID card. You ask to get a QR code. Not all pharmacies accept to do this service , you may have to go to 2-3 pharmacies.

Plan C: you go to a pharmacy to get tested and you receive a QR code valid for 72 hours
